Like similes and as similes

Kia ora
This week we have been learning about similes. There are three kinds of similes like, as and than, we have been learning about like and as similes. We first off got into pairs and learnt the structure of a simile by collecting 2 pictures and finding the words to match them, secondly we went to our chromebooks and opened a doc, matched the pictures and wrote like similes about them, finally we showed the teachers. Today we just copied our doc and changed our like similes into as similes. Here are my like and as similes.

An owl eye is round like a plate.
An elephant trunk is long like a girl's hair sways in the breeze of the wind.
A flagpole is tall like a tree trunk.
A soldier is strong like a lion.
An overflowed rubbish pile is like a stinky sock.
