Persuasive writing

Hi fellow bloggers. I hope you had a nice week at school. This week we are doing persuasive writing. We had to watch a video called the Monster in the Maze then we got all the information we needed to put it in a graphic organiser. The next day our teacher gave us a task, this task looked cool, we had to pretend we were the King of Athens writing a letter to the King of Crete why his monster should stop eating nine children every year. Here it is, I hope you like it:
Dear King Minos,
I am writing to you about the fate of the nine doomed youths.  I plead for their release on the grounds that:
Firstly why do my young children have to go to your kingdom and die in the maze. They should live for the rest of their life, would you like it if you had to die. Bet you wouldn’t.

Secondly the Minotaur should not rip people to pieces till their bare bones are all that’s left on them.

Finally why don’t you feed the Minotaur animals instead of people.

So you would agree that people should live forever and never die when they are very young. How you like it if we threw you in the maze and you would be eaten to your bear bones.

Yours faithfully,
King of Athens
