A new digital learning object.

Kia Ora
This week we have been learning how to use a new tool called Storyboard That. We based it on a story called The Anzac Puppy. We had to choose six words from the book: two nouns, two verbs and two adjectives. Then we put the word in the top box and had  to find the meaning of it and put it in the bottom box. I decided to use photos from the internet for my images because I wanted war scenes for some of them.
Here is my storyboard.

My Myth animation

Kia Ora bloggers. Over the couple past weeks we have been learning how to write narratives. Narratives are a style of writing which tell a story usually following this structure: Introduce a time, place and good characters, then introduce bad characters and a problem. Have the good character solve the problem. End up with a solution to the problem which is satisfying for a reader and which might teach a lesson. All the way through the story, use descriptive language to help describe the places and characters well. Because we are also learning about myths and legends, some of us decided to use the myth genre. Myths are imaginary narratives which use a story with a message to try to explain a natural phenomenon such as rain, wind or earthquakes. My story is a myth because it is an imaginative way of trying to explain why we have volcanic eruptions. Here it is:

Just reminding you that this years Weetbix Triathlon is in Waitangi on the 2nd of April (for Northland). The steps of a Triathlon goes like this: firstly you swim, secondly you bike, finally you run. Bonjour Bloggers, I hope you had a good week at school learning. The weather was great up here in the North Island. Sorry I didn't tell you this before bloggers but every Wednesday and Thursday we have a person come and teach about how to stay safe in the water. This week we had to swim in clothes but not our clothes we were on the day, luckily they brought some spare clothes for our class to wear. Unfortunately we don't have any videos of that, but we have some videos of us doing some other things for swimming, here is one of the videos:
