Venn Diagram

This week we had to create a venn diagram. Venn diagrams compare and contrast two different things. Our venn diagrams are based on Christmas in New Zealand and Christmas in either Sweden, Mexico or England. I chose to base mine on Christmas in New Zealand and Christmas in Sweden

Graduation Dinner

On Tuesday all the year 6's had a graduation dinner at the rugby club. I am happy and sad at the same time to leave Ohaeawai School. At the graduation dinner we all got a necklace. Here is my graduation dinner photo.

Pet Day

In November the school had a Pet Day. Every student had an opportunity to bring a pet to school. For pet day we made vaseline saucers out of flower petals. I brought chickens to school and they won second place!

Geometry

For the last few weeks our focus for maths has been geometry. We got to choose geometry tasks to complete.
1. I made a fox out of shapes
2. I made a digital learning page to describe the different angles
3. Sara and I made a movie about the shapes in our school
4. I traced diamonds and coloured them in

PAT Reading Results

Yesterday we did our PAT Reading Test. There were 35 questions, I got 33/35, my stanine is stanine 8. I am happy with my score. Here is a screenshot of my test results.

Yesterday we did our PAT Math Test. There were 41 questions, I got 33/41, my stanine is stanine 7. I am happy with my score. Here is a screenshot of my test results.

Comic Book Making

Today we created our own comics after reading 'The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors'. We had to choose either to create a comic using two characters from the book or use two other classroom tools. The items had to duel each other and one would have to win. I choose paper and a pencil to duel each other. Here is my comic.
